Doug Stokes is a Professor of International Relations and an adviser on geopolitics and public policy. He is Vice President for Institutional Development and Head of the School of International Relations at Modul University Vienna, and Honorary Professor at the University of Exeter.
 

His work on international security has informed advisory roles at the Legatum Institute, the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the Prosperity Institute, and the Council on GeoStrategy, where he has counselled political and business leaders across Europe and North America. He publishes with leading university presses, and his latest book was nominated for the Times Literary Supplement Book of the Year. He writes regularly for the British and European press.
